Busy busy busy...

I have had a busy time trying to finish various little projects - I will try and post some pictures as I complete them. The first to be finished is a cardigan for Daisy - I thought I'd better complete it whilst it was still able to fit her!

The three children have all been eager to bake just recently - these are Alfie's cupcakes that he made, and quite delicious they were too.

Feeling very proud of his efforts - he didn't want to share!

I was lucky enough to be given a voucher for Little Salkeld Water Mill at Christmas from my wonderful husband. I used it to pay for two breadmaking courses and I went on my first one last week. What a wonderful time I had. The mill is such an amazing place with incredible staff and the most delicious food, I honestly don't think I have ever tasted a better Bakewell tart in my entire life. The bread was tasty too. I have my second course in a few weeks and I am so looking forward to it.

Inspired by my course, I made some more bread once I got home.

The poppy and sunflower seed loaf is my favourite.

  2. Thanks Julie....I think mine are a little less expensive than the Moody Baker - have you seen the price of some of the things in there? I can only afford to look in the window!
